Cut Scenes and Extras

You can read various extras here, or over on Archive of Our Own, where I’ve posted the longer ones so that they can be downloaded as an epub or a pdf, and because I love my fandom roots.

You’ll also find my recipes, writing advice, and other odds and ends linked in the last section of the page.

A whole lot of things were looking up the afternoon Jake dropped by Mark’s ranch just outside of Calgary one hot afternoon in August several years ago. The need to go up into the hay loft and do what’s been done in hay lofts for hundreds of years had come to a head and it just seemed…right. What wasn’t right were the black riders waiting for his brother’s fatal accident…

Cory has always been mercurial; passionate one second and frozen the next, but when he was hot, he was scorching. Luke had brought him up as a vampire but couldn’t keep him the first time around. Now evil’s come on an arctic wind, and they’ll need each other to fight it. This story is set in the same universe as the Masters of the Lines series.

Book 1: Lineage
Vision fought his way from street whore to vampire elder, but can’t forget the feel of surrender in silk restraints. Hanz can give it to him again–but love wasn’t enough before, and the skeletons in Vision’s closet have fangs.

Anticipation  A short palate cleanser story, takes place after Coda, Vision and Hanz go to bed. Eventually.

Cut Scene from Coda Vision and Hanz against a desk. It didn’t fit in the story so I’m storing it here.

Excerpt from Prodigals – Kane and Jinx’s introduction This is a sample from the Master of the Lines series introducing Kane and Jinx. I’m thinking about writing a new series branching off about the two of them.

Your Chronic Pain: An Owner’s Manual An essay on chronic pain

Recipes I like to cook, and experiment in the kitchen. Sometimes, I even remember to write things down. Mostly general guidelines, assuming you’ve got some basic cooking knowledge to start with. And I know my own limits when it comes to food photography, so those pretty picture are other people’s creative commons-licensed photos, not exactly what I made. In other words, don’t worry if it doesn’t look like the picture.
